Barry de Wet

Mr Barry de Wet is a highly regarded geophysicist having served as Chief geophysist for a number of major mining and exploration companies including HPX, Ivanhoe Mines and BHP. During his tenure at HPX he was responsible for the implementation of the “Typhoon” IP 100KW transmitter and application of HPX proprietary potential field remanent magnetization analysis and neural network. He was Global Practice Leader: Geophysics for BHP Billiton Minerals Exploration. During his tenure he developed specialist knowledge on Geophysical technologies such as FalconTM, SolidEarthTM, airborne and ground electromagnetic, airborne magnetics, airborne and ground gravity, Induced Polarization, refraction and reflection seismic as well as a working knowledge of radar imaging methods.
